no faint hearted blues

My first new song of the year. Yay, trying to write as many as possible. I thought about how you have to be strong in relationships and take risks that can sometimes seem very scary. Confronting fears and things that need to be done is something that everyone struggles with, especially me. Usually best to in big and fake it till you make it.

I saw cool video of Justin Townes Earle doing this finger style blues thing and was inspired to try something similar with this with a I7 IV V vi progression. It sounds good in the key of C# or in C with Capo I.

got no faint hearted blues- Timothy Pratt (c) 2015

I’ve got the teeth of my enemies on the soles of my shoes

I’ve been kicked down so  hard that  I hate to lose

I can carry you to the tallest spire

take selfies on the top of every tower

I never get weak watching where i go

its about what I do and who i know

someday our love will burn out on a some pyre

But until then lets climb the stairs higher

Your love requires that

your love demands that

you need to have a man

thats got

no faint heart

no faint heart

no faint hearted

blues

I’ve got all the casing of the brassiest balls in town

Im gonna fill em up and go swing them around

I can worry you to the tenth degree

and take healthy risks of artistry

I never get weak watching where i go

its about what I do and who i know

someday our love will burn out on a some pyre

But until then lets climb the stairs higher

Your love requires that

your love demands that

you need to have a man

thats got

no faint heart

no faint heart

no faint hearted

blues
